Human Resources

At DISC, people are at the core of our values as a company, and we consider their growth, development and well-being to be our highest priority.  As a result, we offer customized training and employee recognition programs as well as a superior benefits package.
The members of the DISC team are some of the most professional, enthusiastic, talented, knowledgeable, and responsive people in the graphic arts industry.  We are proud of them, and we always welcome more like-minded people to join our team.
PIA’s “Best of the Best Workplaces in the Americas” (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016/2017, and 2018)
DISC is one of an elite group of leaders in the graphic arts industry for whom an excellent work environment is a priority.   This marks the 9th win in the past ten years and the 15th time in the 16-year history of the competition that DISC has been selected as one of a small group of exceptional companies in the U.S. and Canada to receive this honor.
This competition honors printing and packaging companies that provide superior work environments designed to balance the goals and needs of their employees with those of the organization.  We were chosen on the basis of eight criteria: management practices, work environment, training & development opportunities, financial security, workplace health & safety, work-life balance, recognition & rewards, and health & wellness programs.  PIA’s acknowledgement is a testament to our management’s commitment to excellence and the people in our company who create it each and every day.
Community Service
A basic tenet of our core values is  “to make a positive difference in the lives of others,” and we extend that resolve to the communities in which we live and work.  We firmly believe that when we give to our communities, we are also giving to our employees.
Through our employees’ generosity, we collected 35 units of blood. Thirty-three (33) people turned out to donate.  Of those who attempted to donate, the Blood Center collected 23 units of whole blood, and 6 people donated automated red cells, which resulted in another 12 units. Thanks to all for making a positive difference in the lives of others!

joins the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Our team of 22 walkers and many donors helped raise over $2,500.
Thanks to all!
DISC employees continue to show their generosity with another successful fundraising campaign for women's heart health. Through the sale of flowers, wristbands, pins, and raffles, we will be sending $703 toward this worthy cause!!
Below are group photos of our employees coming together to support this charity...Go Red!

Helping our friends and neighbors…
The DISC team donated nearly 900 pounds of food and over $500 to Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Founded by the late singer/song writer Harry Chapin, Long Island Cares brings together all available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long Island.

During the 2016 holiday season, the DISC team stepped up and supported the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program in which donors give joy to a child in need during the holiday season. This year, our employees fulfilled the wishes of 35 children!

Community Service: Team DISC joins the MS 5k Run/Walk at Jones Beach New York on Saturday, May 16th.
Thank you to Disc employees, family and friends, who generously donated to this worthy cause!   As a result, we achieved our goal and raised over $2,500 for the National MS Society. Despite the rain TEAM DISC was front and center at the event recognizing every step gets us closer to a cure.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.  The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. More than 2.1 million people are affected by MS worldwide.
