Me! Bath

...With only 24 hours in each day,
it's getting harder and harder to find time for ME...


A Los Angeles based family run operation, Me! Bath has carved out a spot in the crowded home spa products market by making their soaps look like delicious scoops of premium flavor ice cream. According to Lisa Nissanoff, ME! Bath Co-Founder, “I envisioned a decadent bath and body line that could transform a mundane bath at home into a lavish spa-like experience.”



Packaging Challenge

Me! Bath originated from the basic principle to do simple things exceedingly well. The challenge was to review the current line of packaging and apply this basic principal to produce a more cost effective package while maintaining a “lavish look”.

Design & Execution

The Disc Team applied its Package Design Review process to the existing packaging, which is illustrated below:

The review process yielded potential cost-saving ideas:
  • The original package was printed using PMS colors that could be easily matched using process colors. This could be done without sacrificing brand-integrity
  • Consumer information printed in one-color on the uncoated side of the paperboard could easily be transferred to the dust-flap panels. This resulted in a cleaner look and eliminated a second printing-pass.
  • To improve the eco-effectiveness of the package Disc recommended using FSC certified paperboard to support sustainable forestry

Result
